Podere Sabbioni is a multifunctional farm as defined by the OCSE, meaning a farm that, in addition to its “primary function of producing food and fiber, can also shape the landscape, protect the environment and the land, conserve biodiversity, sustainably manage resources, contribute to the socio-economic survival of rural areas, and ensure food security.”
A natural amphitheater nestled in the biodiverse hills, 4 hectares, 170 meters above sea level, 20 km from the coast, on the edge of the Chiaravalle di Fiastra Abbey nature reserve in the municipality of Petriolo. Two opposing slopes above the Fiastra stream form a ravine where a light breeze always blows.
We grow Maceratino Ribona and Verdicchio for white wines and classic method sparkling wine, and Montepulciano and Sangiovese for red and rosé wines. We vinify only the grapes we grow ourselves and are a member of FIVI (Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers).
Our wines are certified organic (Suolo e Salute certification). We have chosen to comply with the VIVA program, issued by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, to certify our environmental sustainability model (VIVA represents the public standard for measuring and improving the sustainability performance of viticulture in Italy).
We are located in a protected reserve, where the naturalness of the site and the precision and care we take allow us to create a stable ecosystem where biodiversity enriches the soil, fortifying it, making it self-sufficient, and where plants protect the soil. A small portion of the land is dedicated to bees and honey production.
Our winery is located inside the family mill, a self-sufficient soft wheat mill built in the early 1900s, powered by a small hydroelectric plant.

We had the most incredible wone tasting! This is a family run winery in an old mill. During the tasting they showed us around and it was obvious their pasión for respecting the land.
We had the full family experience with all 3 of them sharing stories from their lives that have helped them to develop an incredible wine.
If visiting Marche or Macerata wr highly recommend stopping here. The wines are beautiful and unique to the region and the stories about are just as beautiful.
