The geographical area for the production of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC includes territories of 22 Municipalities in the Province of Ancona and 2 in Macerata historically called “Castelli” because they gravitated towards the politics and economy of Jesi, here you can do Wine Tasting Castelli di Jesi
Verdicchio is a wine with great aromas and sensations. Structured, full-bodied, elegant, it has a straw yellow color with evident greenish reflections, hence the name Verdicchio, which highlight its fragrance, vivacity and a notable freshness. It begins with strong aromas of hawthorn flowers and wild flowers to then move on to a fresh fruitiness of peach, apple and slight hints of citrus. Unmistakable finish characterized by the aftertaste of bitter almond. Interesting to note how in the classic area in the left valley of the Esino river, notable mineral sensations are perceived to move on to a greater flavor of the wines produced in the opposite valley.
