Veneto Winery

In Veneto, there is a presence of native and international vines in each wine area, here you can do visit the Veneto Winery. On the Garda Hills and in Valpolicella the most important vines are Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara, from which the Bardolino and Valpolicella wines are obtained. In Veneto the vineyard area is 29% in the mountains, 15% in the hills, 56% in the plains.

The wine production of Veneto is 30% of red and rosé wines, and 70% of white wines. In Veneto there are 14 DOCG, 29 DOC, 9 IGT.

Between the provinces of Verona and Mantova, Lugana is a white wine produced with the Trebbiano di Soave vine, locally also known as Turbiana or Trebbiano di Lugana. Between the provinces of Verona and Vicenza we find the areas of Soave and Gambellara. Known for their white wines made from Garganega grapes. The Berici Hills, south of Vicenza, produce red wines made from the international Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot vines and the native Tocai Rosso, a vine similar to Cannonau or Grenache. In the province of Padua we find the Euganean Hills.

Here international red wines are produced but above all the Moscato giallo from which the Moscato Fior d’Arancio DOCG is produced. In the flat area south of the capital, the Friularo vine is grown, a local name attributed to the Raboso Piave, which is characteristic of the Treviso area. The original wine-growing area of ​​Prosecco is also located in the Treviso area. Produced with the vine today called Glera, which now represents the most important Italian sparkling wine district.
