Castello di Jesi Verdicchio Riserva DOCG

has its classic area in the province of Ancona, but it is also shared with the province of Macerata.

The same can be said of Verdicchio di Matelica Riserva DOCG. with the oldest area in the province of Macerata but which also includes some municipalities in the province of Ancona.

These DOCGs are joined by the secondary denominations Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC and Verdicchio di Matelica DOC.

The denomination Rosso Piceno DOC is the one with the largest production area, which in fact also includes the provinces of Ascoli Piceno. Macerata and Fermo, leaving out only the production areas of the red Conero. The wines of the denomination are produced with the Montepulciano and Sangiovese vines. Vernaccia di Serrapetrona DOCG is a red sparkling wine produced with the Vernaccia nera vine and available both dry and sweet.

The wines of the Colli Maceratesi DOC are produced from the Maceratino, Incrocio Bruni 54, Pecorino, Trebbiano toscano.Verdicchio, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Malvasia bianca lunga, Grechetto, Sangiovese. Cabernet sauvignon. Cabernet franc, Ciliegiolo, Lacrima, Merlot, Montepulciano and Vernaccia nera vines.

This typologies are the white, the Ribona (Maceratino). both also in the passito and sparkling typologies, the osso, also in the novello and riserva typologies, and the Sangiovese, also produced in the province of Ancona. Esino DOC is shared with the province of Ancona and includes both white and red wine typologies. The Terreni di San Severino DOC is a red wine also present in the superiore, passito and Moro variants, obtained from the Vernaccia nera and Montepulciano vines.

The red wines of San Ginesio DOC come from the Sangiovese. Vernaccia Nera, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Ciliegiolo grape varieties, also present in the sparkling typology, both dry and sweet.
