An important DOC from Brescia that overlooks Lake Garda is the Lugana DOC, on the southern shore, shared with the province of Verona. The wines are produced with the Turbiana grape variety, which is none other than Trebbiano di Soave, which however lives in a different type of habitat. It is a grape variety capable of expressing itself with versatility both in the classic white versions and in the sparkling ones. Current production regulations include five types of Lugana: the basic version, the Superiore, the Riserva, the Vendemmia Tardiva and the Spumante.
